The Guild Of Oriental Dance-MN Area
Mission Statement
The Guild of Oriental Dance is an organization of
professional and avocational Middle Eastern Dancers. It was established in
1981 to help promote Middle Eastern Dance, provide dancers with
performances opportunities, and promote camaraderie within the dance
community.
The Guild of Oriental Dance is a wonderful resource
if you are in the Belly Dance
Community. It has a wealth of information and has something
for everyone. It's home base is in the Minneapolis-St.Paul Area,
where Middle Eastern Dance is huge, but the Guild serves a large
geographical area.
A lot of dancers have never heard of the Guild
of Oriental Dance and it should be a regular on your favorites list.
They provide many services, such as dance opportunities for all levels,
classes available,
workshops and seminars, costume sales, a library, a list for hire,
and
much, much more.
The 'Guild' also provides an annual show, picnic
and party during the year.
To participate there is a small yearly
fee which you can look up on the web site. The small fee entitles you to
the updates of all the activities that are available for gals like us, and
the events put on by the Guild.
