Create a Playlist
|
(A
Playlist is a file of songs compiled by you. We will consider this a
temporary playlist for the purpose of this exercise and you can
delete songs or even the whole file later. )
Under the File Menu in the
upper left of the screen, select "New Playlist".
A
box will pop up in the Playlist column down below,
and you can type in a name for the file. Give this Playlist the name
"Belly Dance".
|
Search iTunes
|
In the upper right corner of the iTunes window,
type "Belly Dance" into the search box and click 'ENTER'.
When the songs come up, listen to the clips. When
you hear a song you like, click and drag to your Belly Dance
Playlist that you created.
Add 10 songs for this
tutorial. You are not buying songs-you are adding the track clip
which will be seen as data by
Genius.
|
Open the Belly
Dance Playlist
|
Double-Click the Belly Dance Playlist to open
and view in the main iTunes window.
|
Activate
GENIUS

(This does not mean that you have to buy this song- you are merely
selecting it by clicking once and highlighting the song.)

|
Select Another
Song
|
Watch as the Genius suggestions and
recommendations change. With each song you select from your
Playlist- Genius pulls up a list of related music.
Now you
have more and more songs to listen
to and add to your Playlist(s).
