iTunes Genius For Belly Dance Music

iTunes Music Search Genius Logo-Find Great Middle Eastern Dance Music

This is a Tutorial-Follow the Steps Below and Your Middle Eastern Music Search Will Change Forever!

Download and Install iTunes icon

Follow the instructions- this is no more difficult than installing any other program into your system. It's Easy and it's FREE.

Open  iTunes Store Account

Click on Store--Sign in--Create New Account. Follow all instructions.

This will require your credit card info to be in your file- but don't worry - It is completely secure and your card will never be used until you choose to buy a song. Downloading iTunes and opening an Account are FREE.

Create a Playlist

(A Playlist is a file of songs compiled by you. We will consider this a temporary playlist for the purpose of this exercise and you can delete songs or even the whole file later. )

Under the File Menu in the upper left of the screen, select "New Playlist".

A box will pop up in the Playlist column down below, and you can type in a name for the file. Give this Playlist the name "Belly Dance".

Search iTunes

In the upper right corner of the iTunes window, type "Belly Dance" into the search box and click 'ENTER'.

When the songs come up, listen to the clips. When you hear a song you like, click and drag to your Belly Dance Playlist that you created.

Add 10 songs for this tutorial. You are not buying songs-you are adding the track clip which will be seen as data by Genius.

Open the Belly Dance Playlist

Double-Click the Belly Dance Playlist to open and view in the main iTunes window.

Activate GENIUS

In the Genius Sidebar on the right of the page, Follow the steps to "Turn ON Genius".

This is also FREE- you are simply enabling a 'Function' of the iTunes System. (an Amazing Function)

Select a Song

Highlight a song in the Belly Dance Playlist. (This does not mean that you have to buy this song- you are merely selecting it by clicking once and highlighting the song.)

Watch the Genius Sidebar on the right of the page.

Select Another Song

Watch as the Genius suggestions and recommendations change. With each song you select from your Playlist- Genius pulls up a list of related music.

Now you have more and more songs to listen to and add to your Playlist(s).

Do you see what an amazing tool this is for us?

Without knowing the language, or knowing much about Middle Eastern Music at all, you can build yourself a huge Library of Music for your Belly Dance Classes, Dance Practice, or music to use for your Stage Performances. You will be introduced to Music you never knew existed, because you didn't know how to find it.

Thats over now- Now you do... Have Fun!

Tips:

1) Be sure to create and use Playlists- Genius uses data from the Playlist and algorithms based on data from you and other users in the world to pull up related songs for you to listen to.

2) Genius improves more and more as you build your Playlist Files.
